Magic Book Regions Directions - Due 10/3:
The inside of your magic book needs details about each of the four regions of California. Using Chapter 1 from your Social Studies Book, your summary pages, and the Regions Fact Sheet from today, you must describe each region's:
*major cities: Give at least one city in each region; include Los Angeles, Sacramento, Huntington Beach, San Francisco, and Palm Springs in appropriate regions
*climate(typical weather) - make sure to describe winter and summer if that information is given
*location (how would you describe its location? for example, the coast is bordered by the Pacific Ocean)
*industries/resources (types of jobs/land use) - give at least three resources/industries per region
*wildlife (plants / animals that are there naturally) - give at least two plants/animals from each region
*landforms (what it looks like - canyons, rivers, mountains, volcanoes, flat grasslands, etc)- give one minimum landform for desert/central valley, and two minimum landforms for coast/mountain regions.
The magic book should NOT be in complete sentences. The charts are an organizer for the main details about each region.
